The Governors

The role of School Governors

School Governors play a crucial role in enhancing children’s education by providing supportive challenges that help raise standards and ensure effective resource management. They work collaboratively as a team, bringing a diverse range of skills, expertise, and experiences that significantly enrich school life.

Governors are volunteers who partner with the Headteacher and staff. They are involved in setting school policies and regularly visit to observe school activities. Appointed for up to four years, Governors can be re-appointed if they wish to continue. Some Governors are parents, elected whenever there is a vacancy, with all parents entitled to vote.

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.
